*Junior Sous Chef – Winter Season 2025/26* Location: The New No.14 Chalet, Verbier, Switzerland Contract: Seasonal, December 2025 – April 2026 Reports to: Head Chef About No.14 Verbier No.14 is one of Verbier's most exclusive luxury chalets, renowned for delivering exceptional service, gourmet cuisine, and unforgettable experiences in the heart of the Swiss Alps. We are seeking a passionate and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary team for the upcoming winter season. Role Overview As Junior Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in delivering a world-class dining experience for our guests. This is a hands-on role that requires strong foundational skills, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for food and hospitality. Alongside fine-dining service, you'll also help prepare theme nights—such as Indian curry evenings, Italian dinners, and cozy home-style meals—adding warmth, personality, and variety to the guest experience. Key Responsibilities • Assist in preparing and plating high-quality dishes across all meal services: breakfast, afternoon tea, canapés, and dinners. • Support in executing family-style and themed evenings, highlighting international flavours and comforting dishes. • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, ensuring high standards of hygiene and full HACCP compliance. • Assist with stock rotation, basic ordering tasks, and kitchen organisation. • Communicate closely with the Head Chef, Sous Chef, and chalet team to ensure smooth and personalised service. Requirements • Minimum 1–2 years' experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a fine-dining or luxury hospitality setting. • Culinary qualification or relevant training. • Strong foundational knowledge of European and international cuisine. • Confidence in adapting to dietary requirements (e.g., vegetarian, gluten-free, allergies). • Eagerness to learn, contribute ideas, and support theme nights and home-style menus. • Organised, reliable, and calm under pressure. • Team player with a flexible, positive attitude. • Fluent in English. • Must be eligible to work in Switzerland (EU passport or valid Swiss work permit).
